Although we don't always invite guests to accompany us when we conduct projects, our voluntourism trips provide individuals, couples, families, older people, tradies, schools, and clubs with an opportunity to share their skills, gain fieldwork experience and become immersed in authentic cultural experiences that benefit impoverished communities.
When you participate in a voluntourism adventure, a portion of your vacation time will be spent giving back through a project that involves:
Our projects are all developed in consultation with community leaders and with the permission of the relevant government agencies. Some of our work has been celebrated in media and commended by Ministers. Always, it is done provided of charge.
If you'd like to participate, you need not have prior experience but must have a willingness to get involved and roll up your sleeves.
Although all SUP Wilderness Adventures profits are currently directed towards project costs, we are constantly fund raising and requesting donations in kind. Hence, if you have an item you'd like to donate or would like to fund raise on our behalf, we would welcome hearing from you.
